About Me
I was a full-time violinist and freelance sound designer when I first
began to code. Attending a graduate program in pursuit of my Master of
Music degree, I was hit with a nerve issue in my arm that prevented me
from further pursuing violin performance as a career, something I had
beeng doing for the past 17 years. Although it was a major blow, I quickly
started channeling my creative energy into something new. That something
new was software development.
I first became interested in
software development while using Unreal Engine to program in my own SFX.
Using its scripting tools made me curious about the syntax and logic it
abstracted, which as a result motivated me to take the plunge into
programming. From there, I started teaching myself how to code and quickly
became enamored with development. I had the opportunities to contribute to a variety of projects and build software for companies like Proppex where I continued to foster my passion for development.
Now, I work as a Developer for Covenant building accessible web experiences for internal teams and our players. Outside
of my work, I enjoy working on
personal coding projects, as well as
reading, running, and
playing the violin.
